Greetings from snowy Alberta! We're cozy inside, reflecting on a memorable year.

Our biggest news from 2019 is that Eliana got married! We're grateful for the growth in our family as well as meaningful opportunities to participate in kingdom work. What a privilege! At the same time, we realize how little of life is in our control. At least five of our dear friends have been battling cancer this year, and we’ve faced new challenges of our own. However, the joy of the past month has eclipsed many of those challenges, and we're welcoming the new year with open arms. 

When you have 10 minutes, we invite you to grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and walk a kilometer in our shoes, celebrating with us the faithfulness of God.

May the goodness of our God chase after you in 2020, and may you find delight in his presence.

Imes Christmas Video 2017-2018


Greetings from snowy Alberta, where thick frost clings to every branch and blade. In spite of the cold, we went out several times today--camera in hand--to capture the beauty.

Meanwhile, inside where it's toasty and warm, our hearts are full as we reflect on all God has done to bring us to this place. Last year we did not succeed in finishing our Christmas video, so this video covers two years. The story of how God brought us to Prairie College was too memorable to miss.

We realize that only our family members and most devoted fans will want to invest the full 15 minutes needed to make it through this video. If that includes you, we hope that your hearts are drawn to praise God with us for so many answered prayers and for the glories of God's creation. Wow!

May you experience anew God's lavish love for you in 2019.

At the close of this remarkably peaceful and fulfilling year, we present this family video -- an invitation to join us in commemorating what God has done in our lives to bring us to "a spacious place" where we can flourish (Genesis 26:22). Grab a cup of coffee or tea and sit back to watch (it's 8-1/2 minutes long this year).

We pray that these greetings find you well. We are acutely aware of challenges many are facing at this time of the year -- for some, the first Christmas without loved ones, for others a painful reminder that all is not as it should be. May you cling to the hope that our God has determined to make all things new.

Imes Family Video 2013 & 2014


Dear Friends,

At long last, we’ve finished our family video for the year. It took longer than we hoped, which is why we begin and end by wishing you a happy new year. We wished it on time, you just didn’t know it yet!

2013 and 2014 were intense years for our family. But they were marked by happy memories as well, memories we hope our children will remember, and that will one day eclipse the stress of this season in our lives. This video is a testimony to the grace of God that carried us through. And so we invite you to join us for a visual tour that celebrates those graces. Since we’re covering 2 years, that makes this a double feature!

 Usually we encourage you to grab a cup of coffee and watch our year in a nutshell. This time you might need to grab lunch. It’s 20 minutes long . . . if you persevere to the fun outtakes we saved until the end. Making this video was good therapy for both of us. We hope it brings you joy as well.
